Today I wanted to share with you some of my favorite photography from another blogger. Bleubird Blog (http://bleubirdvintage.typepad.com/blog/) does an excellent job with candid snapshots. One of my favorite aspects from this blog is the way she takes simple photos of her kids. If you are looking for a way to take some classy photos of your children you should check out Bleubird Blog. Another aspect I enjoy is her travel photos. I am always trying to figure out what to take photos of on vacation that I will both enjoy later and that others will want to look at. It can be a challenge, but Bleubird does a great job of catching the most unique moments from a trip. I have included here some of her “snapshots” of her kids. Pay special attention to her use of the rule of thirds, creative angles and the use of reflections. The other photos are from their most recent trip to Austin for ACL. Being from Texas I always assume that no one would ever be interested in seeing photos of the driest state I have ever been to. However, I think that these photos not only show a unique Austin experience but also capture the emotional journey they took as well. We all know how difficult traveling with kids can be! If you would like to check out the rest of her travel photos from their trip to Austin check out this post: http://bleubirdvintage.typepad.com/blog/2013/10/a-road-trip-to-texas.html.

People ask me how to do this twist braid every time I do it. This braid is a hybrid between a French braid and a twist. If French braids intimidate you, this is a good braid for you. There are fewer pieces to keep track of.
